Sr. Customer Quality Manager, Semiconductors, San Jose, onsite

Job Description

Our client is a leading innovator in semiconductor technologies for high-voltage power conversion. They are an established, public company located in San Jose. They are seeking to add a Senior Customer Quality Manager to their team.

Candidate will be the champion of quality in promoting customers’ perception of Company products. Candidate will ensure customer satisfaction by managing quality standards and customer expectations. Candidate will work seamlessly with various functional groups within the company and its supply base to secure customers’ approval of Company products, facilitate customer audits, ensure timely resolution product quality problems, and drive corrective and preventive actions as needed. Candidate will act as the technical interface on quality matters with customers. As such, candidate must have quality systems expertise with excellent organizational and communication skills. Candidate must have a proven track record of having worked in a similar role in a semiconductor company.

Compensation range: 158K — 229K

Specific Duties Include

  • Lead, coach and manage quality engineering team.
  • Directly interface with customers on quality matters.
  • Collaborate with functional teams (Failure Analysis Engineering, Test Engineering, Product Engineering, Field Sales Organization) to achieve quality goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions resulting from field failures and generate 8D problem resolution reports for customers.
  • Define and implement product quality operational and systemic improvements.
  • Provide product change notifications to customers.

Required Skills

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in customer quality engineering involving integrated circuits.
  • Expert in 8D problem resolution process.
  • Direct customer facing experience in quality manager role.
  • Must have problem solving skills on semiconductor products and manufacturing processes.
  • Must have excellent technical writing in organized and concise manner based on facts and data.
  • Must be available to travel to customer sites worldwide will be as required.
  • Must be able to carry out verbal and written technical communications.
  • BONUS SKILL: proficient in verbal and written Mandarin.
