Engineering Program Manager (EPM), Audio/Consumer Electronics, Silicon Valley, Onsite

Job Description

They are seeking a highly motivated Engineering Program Manager (EPM) who enjoys bringing both technical and tactical expertise to cross-disciplinary teams, and is excited about innovative designs with fast-paced product development cycles. Compensation range: DOE, 130K up to max $170K overall ( overall = salary + bonus)

Also, Fully paid Medical for entire family plus 5% 401K contribution, whether employee contributes or not.

Specific Duties Include

  • Ensure success of programs through all NPI phases.
  • Oversee RFQ, Prototype sample build and evaluation, design review and release, tooling release, EVT, DVT, PVT, MP.
  • Work seamlessly with all cross-functional departments and all engineering teams (HW/SW/ME/Transducer, Testing).
  • Work with project team to establish project schedule based on customer design and quality requirement.
  • Establish development, production and ramp plans based on design efforts, customer requirements and schedule, material availability, forecasts, and production schedules.
  • Manage On-site production support with Engineering and Customer teams to manage the build, risk mitigation and ramp up.
  • Evaluate technical and business risk using data based analysis and develop sound risk mitigation alternatives.
  • Evidence strong communication and reporting to customers and all levels of internal management.
  • Identify areas to improve operational efficiencies within the teams and work with upper management to implement.
  • Develop project schedules, communicate program status, and identify/address potential setbacks.
  • 10-20% travel to China for tooling, manufacturing, or engineering builds.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree, Engineering Degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-7 years in Engineering Program Management.
  • Must have Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Must have Experience working with internal and external partners to achieve goals on tight timelines.
  • Must have Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to travel to China, 10-20%.
  • Audio or Consumer electronics experience is preferred.
  • Mandarin-speaking skills a huge plus.
