Installation Engineer, Customer Health Care SW installation, EPIC, SQL, REMOTE

Job Description

Our client is a Global Health Care company with proprietary software. They are seeking to add an Installation Engineer to their team in the US. The Installation Engineer position involves extensive customer interaction and service. The Engineer will gather information, analyze, design, develop and map the client’s workflow and processes as they interface and integrate multiple customer system components with various Company products. Because the Company interacts with numerous hospital systems, experience with Epic is essential to this role. Company will train on proprietary SW.

Salary range 80-90K DOE (with some flexibility)

Specific Duties Include

  • Support pre-sales activities, through direct customer interaction, respond to requests for technical information, including Company's approaches to information security and privacy, in addition to the technical implementation.
  • Actively manage the system design.
  • Process and install the company systems.
  • Configure the system in the client’s computer environment.
  • Develop the interface and integration components.
  • Perform functional and end-to-end workflow process testing.
  • Monitor the data conversions from competitor systems into Company software.
  • Monitor the data conversion from legacy systems to new systems.
  • Support the customer onboarding process 100%
  • Be responsible for installing, monitoring and updating on-premises systems, including training onsite IT staff as requested.
  • Work directly with our customers, our Customer Success Team, and Software Engineering Team to resolve customer issues.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years customer contact experience, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years technical customer service in the medical device industry.
  • Epic proficiency, Epic Radiant or Beacon modules ideal (Experience as an Epic Analyst preferable).
  • SQL knowledge regarding backups, restores and permissions.
  • IT networking experience and ability to work with customer IT departments to resolve detailed networking issues.
  • Ability to easily explain terms such as SSL, HTIP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, subnets, Firewalls, switches, TCP/IP.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Linux Servers.
  • Experience with Windows desktops and tablets.
  • Experience setting up and supporting Thick clients.
  • Must have working understanding of remote connectivity software such as Securelink, RDP, Citrix, and Cisco VPN.
  • Must have an understanding of terms like Modalities, DICOM, PACS, HL7 and RIS.
  • Must be able to periodically work scheduled evenings or weekends if customer requests install during off-hours.
  • Experience configuring virtual machines preferable.
  • Experience with administering Microsoft Windows preferable.
  • Proof of COVID 19 vaccination required (due to Federal contracts), except where a medical or religious exemption applies.
