Territory Sales Engineers (TSE), Industrial Mixing Solutions, Eastern and Midwest USA locations

Job Description

Our client is a successful, growing, dynamic, new product development and manufacturing company that designs advanced technologies for mixing solutions supporting a broad range of industries and processing applications.

The unique mixing system that the Company has patented is capable of mixing combinations of solids, liquids, and gases using high-intensity, low-frequency acoustic energy. These high-tech mixing systems are marketed and sold globally to an expanding list of clients in several different vertical markets. The Company's expanding product lines continue to meet market demand for processing in laboratories and in manufacturing environments alike.

Seeking dynamic individual(s) to join our growing team as Territory Sales Engineers (“TSE”).  The TSE role will report directly to the Area Sales Director and will be responsible for positioning Company products as the preferred mixing solution provider for his/her assigned territory. The TSE will be recognized as the subject matter expert (SME) in the assigned territory for Company mixing capabilities, and will engage with customers regularly to educate, perform demonstrations, and conduct other engineering activities to showcase Company technologies.

TSE's will also have heavy input into the development of the territory business plans that will drive long-term sustainable growth for Company products, services, and revenues. Company will provide complete training (2 month period) in their new and patented technology at Company headquarters.

Specific Duties Include

  • Develop and maintain the Territory Business Plan, including identifying key customer “enthusiasts” and reference customers (scientists, process engineers, chemical engineers, etc.) for Company's technology at customers.
  • Implement operational processes and disciplines that will ensure execution to achieve Company's strategic growth objectives.
  • Monthly Opportunity Reviews.
  • Opportunity Pipeline Discipline.
  • Business Forecasts.
  • KPI Reporting.
  • Lead Qualification and Follow Up.
  • Technical Engagement with Customers (Scientists, Process Engineers, Chemical Engineers).
  • Develop and execute goals and objectives of the territory.
  • Conduct Critical meetings with customers in territory to understand mixing needs and mapped to Company solutions.
  • Bookings and Billing reports.
  • Product specific focus goals.
  • Critical Business Issues in alignment with Area and Corporate goals.
  • Assist ASD in developing organizational coverage model (direct and rep) to support territory plan.
  • Develop data-driven forecasts.
  • Weekly business updates.
  • Respond to customer needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Interface with Company's internal engineering and operations team to provide a clear understanding of customer needs and technical requirements.
  • Showcase and Evangelize technology regionally, during conferences, at customer ‘meet and greet’ lunches and breakfasts, at laboratories, at universities, etc.

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years of sales experience selling capital equipment or technical products in specific applications.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.
  • Ability to interface with senior management and technical experts at the customer site.
  • Entrepreneurial orientation, bias toward action, and desire to ‘win’.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse set of personalities.
  • Business: Maximize Company's return on investment in products, people, and R& D dollars.
  • Position Company as the supplier of choice for customer mixing requirements.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of driving successful business relationships within the territory and customers.
  • Responsible for setting and achieving demanding financial metrics that will result in a positive impact on Company’s revenue growth and financial performance.
  • Drive revenue growth year over year.
